Silvia & Alejandro

Silvia Apcho is 45 years old and has 6 children. One of her sons, Alejandro, has cerebral palsy and suffers from epilepsy. They cannot treat his condition because his family doesn't have the economic resources to cover any therapy, and they can barely afford some medications.

Kelly

Due to some complications at birth, little Kelly stayed too long in the womb of her mother; this led the amniotic fluid to directly damage her brain causing her moderate retardation and stunting her ability to hear and speak.
